In-house ceramic
factory

Our in-house factory "Jingdezhen JIAJIA" is located in Jingdezhen, Jiangxi Province, China - known for its long history of ceramic production.

With the site area of about 33,000 square meters (equivalent in size to Yokohama Stadium) and advanced manufacturing equipment, the factory annually produces approximately 6 million items, primarily in tableware (as of 2021). Of these, 90% are exported to Japan.

In addition to manufacturing products using a wide variety of glaze technique, the factory is also engaged in proprietary technology develoment.
Following a major renovation in 2019, we strive daily to achieve further quality improvements and production efficiency. Through the use of fully automated kilns and streamlined production, we have achieved enhanced and stable quality as well as greater efficiency.

As a Chinese ceramics factory, we takes pride in top-tier cleanliness and ensures to maintain a clean environment through measures such as installing air showers.

Equitments and technique

Forming

Jingdezhen JIAJIA, a manufacturer expertise in wheel throwing, slip casting, and pressure casting, with comprehensive capabilities enables the production of various shapes. For simple shapes, we provide efficient and quick production by using fully automatic forming machines. With the slip casting, we enable to form the unique shape such as die-cut molds, pots, teapots, and character-shaped items. We also produce heat-resistant porcelain suitable for direct flame and oven use.

Glazing

The surface of product is shield against dirt and scratches by applying a coating containing siliceous minerals.
A wide range of options, including various colors and different levels of shine, from matte to glossy is available as well. At JIAJIA, glazing is carried out using both manual techniques by hand and automated robots.

Decoration

Overglaze decal, the main decoration method, offers rich colors and allows for delicate details, making it suitable for printing a wide variety of designs.Underglaze decal is painted onto the ceramic body before applying the glaze. It features a softly blurred finish. Compared to overglaze decal, the range of color expression is more limited with underglaze decal.

One of the underglaze decal technique is pad printing, in which ink is picked up and transferred using a silicone pad. This method allows printing on curved surfaces, enabling expressions that cannot be achieved with other decal techniques.
When separate color application is required, it is done by hand.

Kiln firing

At Jingdezhen JIAJIA, the firing process consists of three types: bisque firing, glost firing, and overglaze firing. (Depending on the product, a reduction kiln is used.) JIAJIA includes a bisque firing stage in its process. During bisque firing, residual moisture and organic matter are removed, increasing the strength of the ware, reducing deformation, and allowing glazes to adhere more evenly and effectively.

Fully automated kilns improve operational efficiency and maintain stable internal temperatures, enabling the production of high-quality ware. Two firing methods are employed: oxidation firing and reduction firing.

Quality inspection

At Jingdezhen JIAJIA, four inspections are conducted in accordance with proprietary in-house manuals.
1st : Bisque-fired ware inspection
2nd : Glost -fired ware inspection
3rd: Decoration inspection
4th : Sample inspection after packing

Quality Control

Thermal Shock Test (Spalling Test) and Food Safety Test

Thermal shock tests are performed proactively on all products. This test applies rapid, extreme changes in temperature, and checks for any abnormalities including cracking or damage.

For food-contact products, safety inspection is applied to ensure the products comply lead and cadmium leaching standards under the Food Sanitation Act.
